I would have been here if I could have been. Will be working and spending a few more bucks on the panel to get it going again. Need to get a different set of headers, As hard as I tried the steering shaft is just too close to the flange and when it's running you can hear it making contact and I can't change the angles of the U-joints..

I have 3 joints and both shafts are on 6 inches long. The headers I have now dump out the back, If they had been an inch longer I could have made them work. So I'll have a $700 piece of wall art unless I find someone to buy them and recoup some of my money. Next set will likely cost me more plus other parts to finish up the exhaust ..thinking of changing out the rims too and get rid of these damn Centerline aluminum mags that are also a pain to clean..

That will put too much of an angle on the center U-joint and cause binding. The headers are almost touching the frame. It's just one of the lessons a first time builder has to put up with after doing a frame swap thinking he was saving money. After doing the pickup I wish I had used the original frame for the panel, then I would have kept it all Ford. I have too much invested in the panel to move backwards now. Hopefully there will be no more stumbling blocks after the headers are changed out..

The first one was a learning curve and many said I couldn't do it but most of the problems came from some of the experts that told me their product was there to save the day, I've been fixing the problems they came up with ever since. Pretty sure this will be the end of the problems though..
