I searched the forum a little bit but didn't find any good airbag write ups / reviews.
I would like to add rear airbags to my 05 4x4 diesel. I am looking for a setup with a remote switch and pressure gauge so I can
control the ride from the captains seat.
I have a set of air bags on my wish list, will most likely go with the Airlift 5000 with the internal jounce bumpers, the bumpers protect the bags from any damage if you run with no air in them. I think they still offer a small compressor that would allow for the driver seat adjustability that you are looking for. I'd like to go with a larger compressor (or two) and a good sized tank to allow for a more capable OnBoard Air setup to supply the bags as well as a few ports to support air hoses for topping off tires and powering a few tools and maybe even a set of horns. Those AirLift bags seem to have a very good reputation from the users around here.
Robert did a good write up when he installed his AirLift bags, this thread is listed up in the Tech Folder. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post13449259
