Coolant on pushrod?

Coolant on pushrod?
So I am currently doing some top end work on my 1996 f150 4.9. When I was pulling the pushrods out I noticed that the two from cylinder 5 and the two from cylinder 6 had what looks like oil mixed with coolant on the very end of them. When I pulled the head and head gasket off they didn't seem to be damaged at all. The head is currently at the machine shop getting tested and rebuilt. Any ideas? Maybe when I was pulling it apart I accidentally got a little coolant in the hole?
