Electric Door Locks

My door lock switches are just not working anymore on my 2001 F-150. I was told the it might be the relays but where they located? If not the relays what?

always check fuses first
you may have to pull the door panel and check for voltage at the switch.
Did they both stop working at the same time? Post as much info as you can and maybe someone can help you.

Door locks

First the left side stop working and then the right side stop working about monthe later. Sometime they want to work and sometimes they don't, they only lock and unlock when they want to. They work less time every day. I check all the fuses and they are all in good condition. Any other trouble shooting ideas...

Those actuators are notorious for going bad. I have had two 4 door super duty trucks this past week where ALL FOUR had gone bad.

I was able to remove the door panels complete but I was not able to get to the actuators. I removed the three star torq screws but I was not able to pull out the locking latch. Do I have to remove the window rails?
