oil drain plug

Can anyone tell me where to find the oil drain plug on my 98 ranger?

It's on the bottom of the oil pan.

It is visable on the passenger side of the of the bottom of the engine

If you craw up under the engine from behind the front wheel you should find it.

The first time I changed my oil, I was startled to find that the oil came out the side of the pan...right into my tray of tools. I am a little more careful now and use something to funnel it where I need it...
