You aren’t going to find much for $5k. Except rust high miles and/or other issues.
Go uo $5k more and you’ll find what you want without any issues or very minor ones if that.

E-bay and car gurus will send you e-mails if you sign up. Im still getting 2-3 notifications with several listings every day. Now i just have to figure out how to UN-list myself.
pick a couple big cities like Cincinnati to Atlanta on Craig's list. Just don't try to talk them down over the phone. They may sell it before you get there. Do ASK if they are flexible on price, where the truck had been it's entire life AND if its rust free. Rust buckets do find their way into the warmer states.
Cincinnati rarely ever gets snow and if they do, the city shuts down over a light dusting because they don't have enough salt trucks to keep people with bald tires from crashing into each other.

Thanks for all the positive encouragement!

Looking it southern/western states sure produces some nice vehicles! I may have to save for a while longer to accumulate some funds for shipping/travel costs. It is going to have to be a pretty sweet deal for me to travel more than 5 hours one way though. I don't have the time to be able to leave home/work to buy a used vehicle. Know what I mean?

I'm sure there are some locally that originated from the salt free zones, or some that have been properly taken care of. I like to think that the one with the money makes the rules when it comes to buying/selling. I'm not in a hurry, and I find that not rushing into something always pays off!

I really appreciate the help from everyone! It is fun shopping for others and I hope you all get as much enjoyment from doing this as I do oogling over all the shiny trucks!
