Can someone help?

A little overwhellmed with offset/backspacing understanding. I live in Hawaii so trying to get these through Amazon Prime shippinhg. Not many places on the island that are willing to help. So we also have to have fender flares here if our tires stick out which I would like to not have. can someone just tell me if these will stick out on my 2017 f250?
Amazon Amazon

Thank you!

jeff

Those look like 165mm bolt pattern. These trucks need 170mm.

I've always found this site helpful. https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/

Also, the stock setup is a -40 offset. Almost anything you do will push the tire out some. I have Toyo AT2's (295x65x20) on the stock wheels and they almost breech the fender.

Also correct, look for a wheel with an 8x170 bolt pattern for the SD's.

I don't think the 250's get the 14 bolt rear end, but on the 350's the hub is larger, which requires a larger bore size. You should be good there.

Only SRW F350 6.7s and F250 6.7s with HCTP (Heavy Tow Pkg) get the larger hub Dana 275 rear axle.

A bit of misinformation here. the stock setup is PLUS 40 offset, not negative. higher positive offset moves the wheel inward towards the engine. higher negative moves the wheel outward. check out this graphic:

The hub bore for all f250/350s is 124.9mm. although the 350 does have the larger rear axle, the hub bore is the same size as the 250. Been that way since the 80's. Check this site for bore sizing:

The factory offset is +40mm, and lug pattern is 8x170mm. I recommend running a +20/18mm offset 18x9 wheel. The more postive the offset the more it keeps it under the fender. The negative offset pushes the wheel out away from the axle hub, therefore out from under the fender. I have run after market 17" alloys on my 2017, and I was never comfortable with the minimal clearance to the calipers. I prefer the 18" wheel myself and if you wrap a 275 or 285 series tire on there you will be sitting as good as you can as far as keeping the tire under the fender.

There is a difference in either the hub diameter and/or protrusion distance between the Dana 275 (F350/F250 HCTP Diesels) and Sterling 10.5 (All Gassers) (SRW). That is why there are two types of 20" Ford OEM wheels. Ones with removable center caps and those without. Those without the removable center cap will not fit the Dana 275.

Sorry, yes...+40. I had them reversed. 3 years ago when I was wheel shopping I had this all committed to memory, it is gone now. LOL

The Dana 275 with the 14 bolt diff does provide a larger hub diameter, it's bigger...all wheel manufacturers did need to work to accommodate this. Speaking from personal experience, a Sota wheel needed a 130mm bore to slide onto my truck. A 125 would fit into a 2015 F-350.

My understanding it was both...length and girth.

So Jeff...in summation, probably best not to exceed a +20 offset to keep the tires tucked. Let us know which direction you go!!

One more source for pics and advice, punch in your configuration and you'll see lots of examples. https://www.customwheeloffset.com/wheel-offset-gallery

Aloha brother!

well shoot. Learn something every day. So anyone know the exact hub bore for a SRW 350?

Im planning to order hub rings to keep my new rims hub centric rather than lug centric. May not have to if the 350s are 130mm

thanks Y’all - it’s why I love this forum...lots of good knowledge

Does a 5 inch backspace equate to a +20 offset?

I have a 2019 F350. My Tires are 35" x 12.5" x 20". My Wheels are 20" x 10" Fuel Lethal with -24mm. You can see in the photos how far they stuck out, before Fender Flares.
