Well.... here we go!!

Well... she's home. Now the fun begins!!! Oil looks good, trans fluid is super clean, master cylinder is rusted and bone dry, looks like an oil pan leak, pinion seal leak and probably rear main. I'll give her a bath, some no-pop tires and moved into the shop on saturday.

460.... get her running and driving then who knows.... she will stay stock'ish in appearance. I love the paint and patina so that will definatley stay. Lower the rear a tad, minor motor work, good brakes and drive her as much as I can.

That truck is perfect. Love your plans for it, keep the original paint. The inside of that bed is not bad at all, that's surface rust, easy to blend in. The green on the radiator tank is normal for a 52 year old truck. Excellent options on it, big block, auto, PS/PB, air con and the XLT package. You have a GREAT score there bud

Nothing a power washer, a good soapy rag and a magic eraser cant handle!!! All cleaned up. Now I need to compound buff it and a good coat of wax. There is no clear left on most of the truck.

Was there ever a clear coat? I suspect that multi-stage paints came much later than the dent side era, no? Given the patina, I'd think that this is a factory paint job.

No clear coat until the late 80s. That would be single stage enamel, which in itself, a blessing, it is easier to blend a repair on a vintage original paint job
