I have a 1999 7.3 F250 that I want to replace the old stock headlights. I want headlights like my 2016 explorer xlt. Any suggestions for a true white light that will light up the road and tree line when driving? I would also like a U bar LED daylight running light. What do you guys run? What do you suggest?
Swap the front end out to 2017 fenders, hood, grill, bumper and headlamps
the factory LED headlamps run about $1800 for the pair and are vastly superior to any LED conversion kit where you put a led into halagon headlamp assemblies.
I Have Lifetime LED bulbs in my truck puts out alot of light also got tired of replacing bulbs so main reason i went to LED but its a night and day difference on my trick anyways.

putting out a lot of light isn’t usually the problem, controlling the light in a acceptable pattern with good vertical cutoff is the challenge with the stock reflectors that are engineered around a halagon bulb.
how often does on coming traffic on 2 lane non divided roads flash you because your lights are blinding them ?
when I tried the conversion LED and HID setups I ended up having to aim my lights so low they were less effective then halagons bulbs even though they were putting out more light. Then again, I am overly sensitive to blinding oncoming traffic since a close friend was killed in a crash caused by some A-hole with his Bright conversion headlights.
Think i have had someone flash there headlights maybe twice in 5 years. Not saying they dont blind people because i dont know but seems everyone has bright lights anymore. People drive around with there 50inch light bars on all the time around here. I drive behind cops all the time and have them come tword me and they have never pulled me over for it, but i do understand where your coming from.

I drive plenty in the dark....and it's PAINFULY obvious that the vehicles with LED's in stock housing (you can tell, trust me) can't control the beam. There is light, BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT, scattered everywhere.
I tried 3 differnet types. LED at first in the factory housing which ended up being all over the place and not directed to one area. I then went to look at projector headlights. I ended up finding some off ebay that you are able to adjust. I like them a lot. Though there are some downsides is I had to cut the headlight panel (fiberglass) in order to fit these headlights in. Also for adjusting the projector you have to do it with the headlight unbolted from the panel which kinda sucks. So it's a lot of trial and error. Once everything is aimed correctly it is good. I used HID bulbs in mine...I also have LED High beams and boy those things are freaking BRIGHT!!!

I have LED bulbs in 05 Harley housings. I have no problems with them. Maybe I. Not as discerning as some.
Don't do the LED bulbs on amazon/ebay. All you get is an uncontrolled beam that is actually dimmer than regular since it's so spread out but blinds the crap out of everyone.
I bought ones with great reviews that said they had a cutoff, well they don't. I assume the original reviews were faked because the recent ones are low.
Agreed. I have tried severa LED bulbs and they are bright but the pattern is crap. If someone could come up with a bulb that would work in factory housing they would be a rich fella.
