Talking Jumping In!

Greetings from DFW! I'm a noob from Plano, Texas. I'm diving in with a mildly customized 1965 F-250 4x4 that is currently parked in Portland. I should be picking it up Memorial Day weekend (I could pick it up now, but that's the first opportunity I'll have). I'm getting a deal from a friend who has too many cars and thinks the F-250 is too big for his garage. Fresh motor and transmission (about 200 mi. on rebuild), They say things are bigger in Texas, I guess that includes the garages! I'm very excited at having a classic truck to work on. Immediate concerns: parking brake and gas gauge. Will be researching and posting about those things and others in the appropriate forums. It will have to pass inspection in Texas, so I have a few things to do right out of the box. I have wanted a mid-60's F-series 4x4 since I was 17 and this just kinda fell in my lap. Really looking forward to this.

Not primer, Rhino liner!

'64 Grille. Not sold on the "mowhawk" mod to the hood.

New interior.

Probably investigate a straight trade of bumpers and the winch for something closer to stock in the future.

Nice truck!

. . . and yeah I don't get the mohawk either. Maybe it helps the driver feel crosswinds a little better? . . . so they feel more involved with the experience?
