65 Cruiso trans mount
I need some help getting the trans mounted in my 66 F100 correctly. I have a 66 F100 that was a 3sp. It has an FE motor in it but it looks like it came out of a car not a truck. The oil filter is in the vertical position so I can't use a FL1A filter, have to use the short version, the oil pan drain plug in on the right rear corner of the front sump pan. Very hard to get out for draining. The auto trans is a Cruiso Matic with a cast iron case, probably a 65 or earlier. My problem is the Trans crossmember under the tailshaft caused the trans to sit to high in the frame, hitting the floor pan. It appears to be about an inch to high. Is the trans mount crossmember for a 65 F series with a Cruiso different than 66 and later C6 crossmember? Is the mount for the cruiso different than the C6? Anyone who can help me unravel this mystery would really make my day. I have checked the Cab Corners for sinking but they look fine.
