Hello folks. I purchased a 66 f350 today. It has the original 352 and 4 speed
Np 435 with 70k on it. A 9’ flatbed that has a pto dump system. It ran good for two miles then it vapor locked on me four times. So I was unable to bring it home. The seller is going to deliver it to me at no extra cost. I plan to fix up the interior as nice as possible and possibly leave the exterior as is for now and enjoy the truck. The only rust is at the bottom of both doors. Even the boards are from 66. I’m going to try it on the hwy but most likely will regear it to do 65 mph with ease. Here are some pictures.
This truck is interesting. Not a lot of F350s out there in this great of shape. The exterior with the stainless windshield moldings and "Custom Cab" script on the doors would suggest a Custom Cab truck, but then looking inside the single tone dash panel, black steering wheel (as opposed to white for Custom Cab) and white painted speedometer bezel says Standard Cab and if I recall it looked like a 381 on the Warranty Plate but it was a bit hard to read.
It would not have been hard to add the stainless trim during a windshield change and the script on the doors is not too hard to add so maybe that's what's been done?

Custom Cab door handle guards were likely added after the fact. Ford would not have installed both the guards and the Custom Cab nameplates.
Thanks for the info. The PO wasn’t sure what was factory or added on. I’m not too crazy about both myself. I’ve been trying to find info on what a 66 f350 looked like but have not been successful. Any info anyone has would greatly be appreciated. So keep them coming...

When Reagan was gov'n of CA, there was a controversy between tree huggers and axmen over redwood trees. Tree huggers wanted to save as many as possible, axmen wanted to cut down as many as possible.
When Reagan was asked what he thought, he said: "When you've seen one redwood tree, you've seen them all!"
So, if you've seen one F350, you've seen them all. There's not that much difference between 1961/66 F100/250's and F350's.
Funny, I love 3am humor. What I’m saying is you can find pictures, service manuals, or parts manuals for a Chevelle Malibu or SS as the trims are completely different. As you can a F100 or F250. But when you look up F350’s most of the time there aren’t any options to select F350 on a site like LMC and etc. I’m sure many of the main components are the same but if I wanted to do the truck up correctly I wouldn’t know which trim pieces, motor accessories, or tail light lenses to use.
I was told by the PO that the F350’s came with the lights on the fenders. I don’t think that is entirely true. I’ve seen pictures of F350’s without the lights on the fenders. And some that do look different then the ones mine has. So how would I know and find out for sure?
But hey , I liked Ronald Reagan so thanks for that spew...

You're in DE, the only east coast state I've never been to. I'm in LA LA Land, so currently, it's 12:48 AM
Many of the repro parts fit more than just F100/250's. Some repro parts sellers also list F350's, but none list 500/1100 series trucks.
Your anodized aluminum grille is the same: 1966 F100/750 Custom Cabs & 1966 F100/250 Rangers.
The hood front V8 emblem is the same: 1965/66 F100/1100 & B500/750 (School Bus) & 1967/69 F800/1000.
Edit: The hood emblem on your truck is wrong, it was used 1961/64 all I-6 & V8; 1965/69 I-6 only.
The F350 front fender emblems were used 1965/66 and on the hood sides of 1963/64's.
ALL the weatherstrips for the cab and doors are reproduced, same: 1961/66 F100/1100; 1963/69 N/NT500/1100; 1967/69 F800/1000.
Front fenders of 1961/66 F350's have a 45" opening radius. These were also used on 1961/65 F100/250 4WD; 1966 F250 4WD.
Also used on 1961/66 F100 2WD's & 1966 F100 4WD's with optional 17" wheels, 1961/66 F250 2WD's with optional 19" wheels.
AM radio, economy and deluxe fresh air heaters, outside mirrors, marker lamps were optional. The marker lamps on your trucks fenders are universal "fitz-all" aftermarket auto parts store types.
I was gonna say, those added side lights with amber and red lens are from larger trucks.
Thats a first I've seen them on 1 tons. They do look kinda cool on there though.
Thats a nice slick truck. Mine isn't quite as nice as I've let the paint go for too long.
Check those 6 lug wheel over real close for rust issues. Water likes to get into the inner tube stem holes and rust the wheels out. I'm in the process of changing mine over to 8 lug.
And thats one of the first sets of mirrors I've seen that was chrome or stainless. Mine are steel, and the tubes are rusting out now.
