Lug nut Hex Socket size?

For folks that are using torque sticks to torque the lug nuts - this is not correct and maybe even unsafe. The purpose of a torque stick is to prevent over torqueing the lug nut when using an impact wrench to tighten the nut. An actual torque wrench must be used to set the final torque value of the lug nut.
In other words, the torque stick is to protect the lug nut and stud, not set the torque.

Our trucks’ OM includes the same 100 mile lug nut torque check recommmedation for SRW OEM wheels after a wheel “disturbance” (I.e., tire rotation, changing a flat, removing a wheel). The DRW recommmendation is at 100 miles and again at 500 miles.
