My steering gearbox is leaking from around the top plate. I have never seen one leak there. The box is a rebuilt with about 4500 miles on it. I had it installed in Georgia just before moving to Calif a year ago. I am enclosing pictures of where it is leaking. At idle it leaks slow but when pressure builds steering it leaks pretty badly. I thought it was coming either from the pump or pump line that is above it. I cleaned all that area, removed the boost piping so I could see for sure. I used a mirror around the lines and under the pump. They are dry. It is definitely coming from the gearbox. It not only comes out the top in the picture but the side to right in picture. All the bolts are tight.
I am trying to contact the company that installed it (they gave a 2 year 12000 mile warranty but being 2600 miles away I am not getting any replies). Has anyone seen this before?
