That would be a concern. we have an occasional dry grass fire along a country road where someone has thrown a cigarette out the window and it blows into a ditch.

Unfortunately we have fires started that way too but lightning is the major cause ..

We have a very short brush fire season in spring (a couple weeks) and most of September and October is fire season!

Your trees there are more apt to ignite during a lightening strike than our trees but once in a while we hear of one burning especially a dead tree.

Lightening strikes may be the cause of 1 a year but Human carelessness is 99.9% the cause here!

We've had them pretty close to town here but lucky enough they were extinguished before getting out of hand

The deciduous trees here are so full of water that they generally explode during a lightening strike.

Here too, it's also good when they are out in leaf to shade the undergrowth...
