Not much, was just watching some TV, fixed the washing machine after supper so Frances decided to test it out with a load of towels, so she's happy..

The agitator is a 2 piece and the dogs were worn out so it wasn't working properly. It took me almost 10 minutes to repair once the parts were delivered..Machines are 13 years old but if this prolongs the life it's better than spending a couple grand on new ones..

These are the first machines we had that went past the warranty . We had one washer that lasted 10 years and 2 months it had a 10 year warranty. The machine before that only lasted 6 years and the transmission on that one exploded and left oil all over the floor. We had thought of replacing these simply because of the age of them but for $40 I'll take my changes and ride along with these as far as we can as long as they do the job. Whirlpool brand

Good evening Rick, Don and John.
Is the washer a GE and uses the "coupler bushing"? I had to replace them in the one we had about every week!

Man! This town has the potholes this year. The only thing good about white crap is that it fills the potholes.

Whirlpool Rod, but likely the same principal , there is 4 little dogs that grab the gear teeth inside the agitator and spin it clockwise with each agitation movement

I milked our last set, Maytags, had to replace something every couple of months. Guess that is the price you pay for keeping them too long and being a cheapskate. LOL
