I HAVE RECENTLY BOUGHT A '92 F-150 SUPERCAB LONGBED WITH A INLINE 6-CYLINDER. I WANT TO EVENTUALLY PUT A LIFT ON IT, BUT FOR THE TIME BEING AM GOING TO PUT SOME BIGGER TIRES ON IT. MY QUESTION: WHAT IS THE BIGGEST TIRE I CAN PUT ON THE STOCK RIM WITHOUT ANY MODIFICATIONS TO THE TRUCK ITSELF? CAN I FIT A 31"? IS THE STOCK RIM FOR THAT YEAR A 15" X 7"? WILL IT LOOK OK? ANY RESPONSE OR PICTURES OF ANYONE'S TRUCK WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU!
The size of hte rim is usually stamped on the inside of the wheel. If it's a 7.5" wide wheel and 4wd truck, it'll be 32/11.5/15s. If you have a 2wd with 7" rims it'll be 31/10.5/15s.
I've been running 31-10.5s on my 93 2X F150 since new. They always looked small for the truck, but hold the ground well. find a set of "pull" wheels out there if you want a bigger footprint on a budget.
I had a stock 2wd F-150 at one point and 32/11.5/15s wont fit under the front without a lift. You can physically bolt them on, but theres no room for suspension travel.
I'm A MANIGER AT A BIG 'O' TIRE STORE IN CAMERON PARK
YOUR VEH. CAN FIT A 31X10.50R15, THE BEST SIZE TO PUT ON YOUR VEH, IS A 32X11.50R15, IT LOOKS GOOD, BUT ON A SHARP TURN IT MAY RUB ON THE RADIUS ARM, OR SWAY BAR BRACKET, GO IN TO ANY TIRE STORE AND THEY WELL TEST FIT A TIRE FOR,
