4.9l straight six stuff?
Note: All the parts I have listed below (excluding cams) can usually be found on ebay for a greatly reduced price, I reccomend trying there first.
Clifford makes (or used to, you'll have to check with them, good luck, their customer service leaves some to be desired) stroker cranks for the 300, real pricey though.
Try Jegs , Summit or Clifford for headers. I've got hooker supercomp headers for my 300.
As an alternate route, EFI manifolds for the 300 work well too, lots of guys use them instead of headers, they'll last longer unless you're going for coated headers and they'll be cheaper too.
Theres not too much of a difference between them except that the header do flow better and sound better IMHO, that and the EFI manifolds can be a bit restrictive at high RPMS.
Jegs sells the Offenhauser manifiolds for the 300.
The Offy DP 360 is for 4bbl carbs (it's a better buy for a daily driver IMHO). The C-Series can be used for a 4bbl or a 2bbl with adapters.
Comp Cams , Crane Cams and Clifford all make cams for the 300. Remember, if you do go for a cam, replace the whole works, lifters, pushrods ect. You'll sleep better.
As far as carburators go, most guys reccomend the holley 390cfm 4bbl, or a bigger 2bbl (500cfm or so). I'm part of the crowd which thinks the 300 is often undercarbed. I went with a 500cfm edelbrock 4bbl. You'll need to re-jet either way probably. Some guys do the aftermarket EFI or rig a megasquirt up, but that getting out of my league.
Accel makes a distributor for the 300, or at least there's one out there that works on the 300, you'll have to ask around. You could go MSD but thats fairly pricey. You can also get a high output coil to replace the stock one. It'll help at the higher rpms.
If you have any questions try the Fordsix Forums, or the inline forums here.
