I bought myself this 91 f350 dually 7.3 Idi with r&d pump and injectors .. as well as a CTS turbo kit. It is my understanding that it is a Schwitzer turbo and I want to rebuild it and put a pair of wheels into it but I don't know what the turbo is or where to find the parts
Those oddball turbo's were so old back a decade when I got my first IDI.I dunno if anyone really knew too much about them then,let alone now.Goes to show ya they were made well enough to last this long I suppose.What's wrong with it? Someone might know something about 'em.Did you search the IDI section for old or even newer threads to see if anything comes up?
Yee I was looking and that's how I found a bit of info like it CTS was based out of kamloops and that's how I found it's a schwitzer turbo but past that I can't seem to find anyone who can give me specs on the turbo itself and it just has a little fluctuation when it is building between 5-10 lbs past 10lbs it's steady
Well it feels aight it still builds decent just slow and as I said fluctuates like not smooth like lol I was contemplating swapping the turbo out for an hx35 or hx40 something I can readily get parts for
