Yup, heard of it. I used to live in Northern VA, Fairfax to be exact. Never been there though a bunch of people around me go there or the outer banks for family vacations.

I live in Williamsburg, but I used to live in Va Beach as well as Norfolk, Newport News, and Chesapeake.

Hey Duksrule, where are you in Pungo? I used to fish out there a lot on the Intercoastal Waterway, Back Bay, and West Neck Creek. Pretty country out there in some parts. How did you guys weather the storm out there? I know there's quite a few really low lying spots that flood. Hope you guys did ok.

Terry

Terry, I live about a mile from the Pungo Ferry Bridge on the intercoastal. The storm was OK for me but it dropped a tree through the house next door. First thing I did when I built my house was cut down every tree within falling distance of anything I saw as valuable.

I used to fish and drink beer at Lovitt's Landing some years ago. Was good fishing then, don't know about now.

Actually, I was just there a few days before the storm came in.
My son picked me up in Florida and took me on a Tiger run in his submarine for 4 days! USS Oklahoma City, SSN 723. Man what a blast!!! We ported and had to wait for the rain to quit, then I got to see Va Beach, Norfolk, colonial Williamsburg, etc. I like Virginia, nice looking state.

I pass through there every summer on the way to Cape Charles and Oyster, VA, to do some fishing in the Chesapeake Bay. Have to cross that 23 mile bridge to get over there.

I've stayed in VA Beach 2 nights.....it was ok, but too many people, and not enuff space for all of them there.
