Superchips V10 bug?

I had a recurring, annoying bug pop up about two weeks ago:

The Door Ajar light would come on and stay on, then disappear for no reason. Checked all the dooors, relevant wiring, etc. Checked error codes, still nothing.

On a hunch, I returned my truck to stock programming using my Superchips programmer.

1 week later and still no new Door Ajar lightings/sightings.

Problem resolved? I contacted Superchips and they are stumped. Any clues?

Bump:

How about it Ken? I bought this unit from you.

Heard of any bugs in the early units?

No need to bump... I'm juggling a lot but I get around to all the posts here sooner or later.

I've never heard of this type of thing with any Microtuner, I'm not even sure how that could happen. Are you running the stock tune now, or did you switch back?

Yeah. I'm still running stock.

The engine actually seems to run better, although the trans is mushy in stock trim.

I was getting a bit of flutter/pinging with MT program. Maybe the SC unit gags on the low-oxygen air /high-ethanol-fuel combo here (6k ft.). It's worse in winter when they really boost the alcohol content.

There is a well known problem with the door switch that is used in these trucks, check with the model forum for more info. It is not a computer problem.

I agree with Torque1st that it's a door switch problem as I've experienced it. A little WD-40 shot into the latch mechanism cured it. The local dealer says they see it all the time.

No WD, the problem resolved itself - go figure. Prgram is back in no errors so far.
