I need help.

So I have a 1979 F250 that I want to lower. I’m gonna swap the front end with a crown Vic. But I see that people swap the rear axle with a explorer 8.8. Would that fit in my truck ? I want to lose the drum brakes

Should fit but don't recall if it just bolted in. Check out davewildes thread IIRC that's what he swapped in.
