Fuel Charging Wiring
I changed my glow plugs this weekend and noticed that the 115V connector that plugs into the valve cover gasket (front, drivers side) is burnt and brittle. I know I can replace the fuel charging wiring which appears to be part of the valve cover gasket but is it possible to change the female end of the plug without removing and replacing the entire 115V wiring harness? Has anyone had to do this before?

Yes you can. I had to replace a couple of mine. Ford has a kit to replace the conectors and the pins that are burnt. Replace the gasket too because it'll be burnt as well. Also check the UVC harness under the valve cover that goes to the injectors and glow plugs. Not too hard to do, just a little tedious and time consuming.
