Replacing CAT
My CEL has been on for a while, and it states that I need to replace my front left CAT. I brought it to midas to have it checked out and they said they can replace it for around $250. They said they would cut it out and weld in a new CAT. I just want to know if that actually works? and will my CEL finally go off after that?
I called Meineke and they said they need to order the part from the dealer because it's a special part or something, and it would cost around $1100.

NO WAY!! I'm guessing you have a 97-newer F150 with sensors before and after the cats. Just get a pair of highflow cats to replace all four of the ones on there. Should cost no where near $1100... maybe like $400 at the most.
