IDS Version for 2017

All,

What is the minimum IDS version that is required to work with 2017 F250/F350?

Would finally like to finish adding ACC, but is requires a single offset change in the PCM module which Forscan can not make. The PCM for 6.7L contains a setting that defines the type of cruise control; none, normal, or adaptive. I have the VCM2 module already.

Also if anyone has IDS and is willing to answer a couple questions please PM me.

Roly

I have licenses and the versions are 112.xx ........................they normally release one or two per month so it's best to track to the latest..................................it would be difficult to exactly answer what features are in older versions unless you kept some kind of log like Ford/Bosch/Motorcraft do..........what we would call in software a Version Description Document

Thanks for the quick response. In the version of IDS you have is there a PCM module configuration option to change the cruise control type. Curious what options IDS lets you change in the PCM module.

I know the what needs to be changed is in the PCM, just don't know if it is exposed as an option in IDS or if you have to load the entire as-built.

Absolutely -- under "Module Programming" you can reconfigure Cruise as well as a load of other things PCM, DDM, etc related.............note: we have the latest versions so i can't guarantee it works in previous versions of IDS...............and be warned: those (dirty thieving) Chinese "knockoffs" being sold on the WWW are illegal, don't work..........

Great news... Looks like I can license IDS for 72 hours directly from Ford, enough time to make the change.

What interface module are you using? I have the VCM II module, will that interface module still work with the latest IDS.

Thanks Again,
Roly

Mine are all VCM II -- made by Bosch and they work just fine. They have a newer version out (VMM) but I haven't purchased that yet as it's pricey and I'm still using older PicoScope and Escope (8 line trace) stuff............that's smart doing that 72-hr license, I'm shelling out $800 or so per copy annually...................have tried more alternatives than I can count, but most come up short.
