Driving into work. I have not had a chance to look at the truck yet. Its a 2005 Excursion. powerstroke. It has been running great no issues what so ever. Never have had an issue with tranny. all of the sudden feels like I threw the truck in neutral. It revs up like I hit the shifter to neutral. So I thought maybe I accidently hit the shifter into neutral. So I drop it to 3, then 2 then 1 nothing. I pull over and try reverse and 4 wheel drive Nothing. Every gear just free revs like neutral. Tow/Haul is flashing. I tried pushing tow/haul but nothing changed. I did install a tranny pan out of a 2008 about 2years ago. but it has never gave me any issues. Any ideas? or where to even start looking thanks........Now I have to tow the EX home......crap!
And with that '08 pan you put in the '08 filter, right? Because the older filter probably could drop into the larger pan = no oil to run the trans... Taking a guess here, but that seems possible...
Yes I upgraded the filter also.
I did pull a code with my OBD2 reader. Says "p0756- Powertrain Shift Solenoid "B" Performance or Stuck Off" I have Auto Enginuaty at home maybe it will pull more codes but I wont get to check it until tomorrow when I tow it home.

If you use ForScan on the laptop or another quality scanner (IDS) you can actuate each solenoid to hear if it clicks. No click = no good. They've had issues with internal harness or it could be a stuck solenoid. This should help you identify them and you can Ohm them out.
