Disc/PS

I'm getting fed with all this hype about Mustang II IFS. I
Bought my 63 unibody 19 years ago for $50. I've driven it every day since. I want to convert to disc and P/S. Everyone is telling me to go Mustang II. When I get this 429 built and installed I don't think that wimpy Mustang front end is gonna let me drive this thing another 19 years. I wanna figure out a way to modify and use 2000-2003 F150 upper and lower control arms, and P/S.
Anything can be fabbed. Anyone know the hub to hub dimensions on the F150s? How about frame width. Where can I get this info?

Help me out and I'll pass along the "how-to" when I get it done.

1962 Unibody 292 3-speed w/OD Short bed.
1963 Unibody 390 C6 Longbed.
1967 Mustang Fastback 390 4-speed.

Thanks, Bobby.

you may be tired of the hype of the MII frontend but the hype is there because it works and works well. while i agree it is not a "truck" frontend, i will admit it is a great streetrod frontend. hawkrod

Some companies are making custom dakota front suspensions for classic trucks. That would work well. For hub to hub measurements go to the 97-03 forum and ask someone to measure for you. You could also go to a late model junkyard and take measurements. But like you said "anything can be fabbed." You don't need hub to hub measurements. Get all of the critical components and fab the brackets to make it fit.
