AOD with Rod

AOD with Rod
Hi, all the information here is really great. I just have some questions, I got a fuel injection 302 with an AOD, I was told it was from a mustang. Any way, the AOD definitely is not from 80 to 85, it came with a TV cable for full injection. I installed the AOD with a carb engine. My question is : can I use a TV rod on this transmission? Looks like the lokar kit is the way to go when you want to use an after market carb, is this assumption correct? I also have learned in the bad way, and I won't never finish if I tell all the things that I have tried. As of now I have the Lokar kit(the old one), installed an edelbrock intake, the only thing that's missing is the carb, I have faced some trouble to get a working carb , I have tried some used ones with no success, the new ones are really expensive. So just thinking in the other direction, install a motocraft carb and a TV Rod. Also I will get a rebuilt 1403 as last shot. Thanks in advance.
