Fuel pressure regulator needs to be on supply side, you are regulating your supplied fuel pressure, that being said even if you had full pump flow at 100+ psi it would not cause this issue...

efuel will purge itself of air fairly quickly-5-10 seconds with a filter change. To me it sounds like your pre pump plumbing is incorrect.

pull your return line and pump to a bucket to confirm you have flow.

Id run a single pump vs twins, only reason for twins is 250/200 or bigger injectors if you are ****...that’s just me, gsl-392 or bosh 044.

check your ac fuse as well this is on the same circuit as your tank switch and I have seen the fuse blow when switching tanks and the valve half cycles choking off feed.

7.3 powerstroke utilizes a regulated return system. FPR goes on return side of the fuel system.

so your regulator is down stream of your heads? Or in other words your injectors are dead headed by the regulator which is holding pressure post flow through the heads?

Yes. That's the way all e-fuel setups are designed.

That's the way both installs I did are working, if I understand you correctly. First one supply was to rear of heads and exit from front of heads to regulator. Second one was supply to front of heads and exit at return of heads to regulator. Same thing just different vendors. Can you indicate what pre and post filter micron ratings are? Did you try killing power to one of the pumps? Not sure if that would work, never tried it but something inexpensive to do.

If the pumps are not working correctly or just sucking air they are quite noisy. After 10 seconds or so priming all the noise goes away and they quiet down big time. Interesting problem, looking forward to the solution.

Pre-pump filter/fuel/water separator is 10 micron. Post-pump filter is 2 microns.

Thumbs up

Can you not post photographs of your kit?

I am sure there is something you overlooked that will be spotted by someone.

Ok, rain finally stopped around here long enough for me to mess with the truck some more. Hooked up a long hose to my pressure gauge. Cranked over for what seemed like forever, finally started. Idled good for close to fibe minutes. Then started stumbling, then died. Would eventually start back up with extended cranking. The idle, stumble and die. Could it be ICP or IPR? Unplugged the ICP and it had oil on the plug.

A 10 micron pre filter . Will it let enough fuel go to the pumps fast enough? I think I use 30 micron on a single pump. Also Hitman ask for pic of how you have it hooked up, can you post up some pics?

You said you got a long hose on your pressure gage, so what was the fuel pressure when cranking, idling, and when it died?

If the ICP is leaking oil into the plug area, then it is bad, but it would not cause the truck to die. I drove mine for a week without the ICP plugged in because it broke. Before you replace the ICP, just make sure it's bad. Someone could have spilled oil down there while working on something else. I'd just clean it out, run it, and recheck.

Finally got my truck back on the road this past weekend. Replaced the ICP and IPR, changed the oil in the engine and the HPOP reservoir, fired it up and no probs since. Love the e-fuel setup. Engine idles better than ever and takes less time to start now too.
