when you build a platinum (which is weird) on the ford website this is the picture it shows, clearly brown. also, if you buy husky floor liners they either have black or brown on their website.
Am I missing something above? That picture is black flooring, looks just like what I have. If you get the floor in certain light, wear or angle it could possibly look lighter I guess? I’m curious about them offering colored premium vinyl flooring.

everyone sees things differently, but that sure does look brown to me.

Reason: grammar

I agree and that is what I had been assuming for quite some time. I just thought it was dark brown, but if the mat on top of the vinyl in that picture is black, it's a pretty good match in color to the vinyl so I would now agree that the vinyl is black in color.
I do believe the carpet is dark brown from the pictures I've looked at on Autotrader, but I've been accused of being color blind too. Can someone confirm that their KR carpet is indeed brown and not black?
The king ranch carpet color is indeed a brown. If you order weather tech floor mats like I did get the coco ones. It mateches almost perfectly. When I bought my truck they had another KR there with the vinyl floor and it was black. All the trim pieces and sil plates were brown like the rest of the interior. The floor had the KR logo molded in to it I really wanted the vinyl floor but that truck wasn’t a diesel and was a ****ty color.
I have a KR and my vinyl flooring is black. I’m pretty sure they offer only black. If they did brown one would assume they’d offer brown in their most brown interior, the KR.
The picture shows the weather mat against it. Same color. They provide black all weather mats and carpet. In the case of the KR it’s brown and KR stitched carpet.
The picture doesn’t change for any of the builds nor does it give color options. I’m thinking it’s the color from ones perspective and monitor/phone color.
well, this has been very enlightening. I wonder if there is really any difference between the premium vinyl ($115) and the carpet delete vinyl ($-50) in the lariat's and below. I know with the premium vinyl you get carpeted and rubber mats, but is the quality any different?
where from in northern mi jackbauersmom? im between cheboygan and indian river
QUOTE=jackbauersmom;18472631]ordered a '1platinum with the dark marsala interior and still waiting for delivery. only saw the interior once in person and loved it. however, I have one question about the flooring (don't remember it). I choose to due the premium vinyl floors. I have searched through pictures but none really give a definitive color for the floors. can someone tell me what color they are with the dark marsala? I am wanting to order the platinum light up sills (which I have only seen in black and silver) and wanted to confirm the floor first. thanks![/QUOTE]
Dont they all come with light up platinum sills? Even the carpet delete
Ford only puts light up sills on the highest trim level. In 2017 this was Platinum, '18,'19 this is the Limited. I say the highest trim level because in the Explorer the Platinum is the highest trim level while the Limited is lower.....
Just being an *** here but, carpet delete is only an option on lower trim levels, the higher trim levels have a premium vinyl floor option that includes trim name stamping and two sets of floor mats. I had always said I'd pay Ford to not put in the damn carpet, always been a delete in the past, this time I actually did pay them....
