After 2 weeks I have some answers from Ford. I have a I Phone X on AT&T & aparently Verizon is the only carrier that is compatible with the iPhone X. Dealer installed a new Sync 3 module this morning my phone would not work the tech has a 6s & it worked fine. I am beyond pissed!
Maybe a call to Apple is in order? Maybe do a network reset on your phone (I don't think it will help, but it can't hurt)? Just today I went to load contacts and it wouldn't work; had to delete phone on truck and delete truck on phone. Set it up to announce texts too; we'll see how that works soon.
I had to reset the phone as a new phone not from backup to get it to work. Apple customer service said software in my backup must have a bad spot in bluetooth software.
Delete your phone from the blue tooth on the truck Sync 3 screen and reinstall. Enter the code pairing and then go into the settings and ensure full wifi support is turned on.
This is turning out to be sage advice. It seems that every now and then when the phone and Sync start disagreeing on how to behave, I just delete the phone from Sync and the Sync from the phone and start over....and it works right again. For a while. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
