Reason I ask is because I ran across one recently that was in immaculate shape, but I didn't even bother to drive it.

The ride quality and the fact that the IFS is from a truck is the reason that I installed a Dakota IFS from a 1987 in my 48 F1. I used the kit from Industrial Chassis. II had them install the cross member and box the frame because my welding skills leave a LOT to be desired.
