Is there a difference in the 6.7 and 6.2 as far as this piece goes? I have an 18 6.2 and I really like the way that looks as opposed to the one I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is the best I could do. Think it's as pictured in my OP. I worry about the longevity of the F-O-R-D letters staying mounted. Especially with frequent trips to my car wash. The provided screws are just too small. I had to get bailed out on the two inner screw holes on the "D" with some old parts I had on the shelf. They happen to be PERFECT for mounting these letters and I am going to try to get some more. I THINK the last two numbers are "42". I also inquired about getting an extra letter and mounting kit. I had to trim the tabs on the "D" and just a little on the "R" with a box knife.
(working on uploading pics...forum issues?)
ETA: Still can't upload. Also can't find the screws anywhere. They are Ford Genuine N801603-S42. Also says F AU-4-EP. Screw 4PCS.
This grills look awesome. Of course if you have upfitter switches that is a easy way to connect the raptor lights. I have raptor lights on my stock grill and tapped into upfitter. I just leave them on all the time.
Great news, Nader said that while he didn't have any letter kits for sale separately, he said he would stand by the grill and letters down the road. I explained my install and concern for loosening screws and my car wash situation, and he said he's anxious to hear how it goes and support me through it. He doesn't think there will be any issues at all. Thanks for posting Brent! Let us know how it goes.
Nice! Where did you tap into power? Looks like upfitter switch...? I ran the bundle over to the pass. side. I dig that plate.
Thank you. I ran harness to driver's side and connected to uplifter switch 1. I just keep it on, and it energizes when ignition is on. One of these days, I'll get a black powder coated winch bumper (I hope) but it and the winch gets expensive quick.
