You'll have one small vacuum line that goes to the transmission and one that goes to the distributor . Vacuum can come from the carburetor or the intake manifold . They're all plumbed a little differently. I have one line from the front of my carburetor that goes to the valve cover, a medium sized line. And a large line off my intake manifold that goes to my brake booster. if you still have smog control attached I took mine out years ago. They may use some vacuum. Plug off any holes you don't use

. # 1 is a vacuum port on the carb goes to my distributor.# 2 goes from my valve cover on the right to a plate underneath the carb for vacuum # 3 is the vacuum tree off my intake manifold. The large line goes to my brake booster. One small line goes to my transmission and I forgot to mention earlier one small line goes to my air cleaner for the cold air intake. The other ports on the tree I don't use I just plugged off.

That's a picture of my PCV valve off the passenger side valve cover to the air cleaner. Runs better when the crankcase can breathe also.
it's not pretty but it runs well.
