Vacuum pump

I unhooked the vacuum pump and forgot to plug it back in and didn't notice any difference, just wondering what all it's used for and if it would be ok to leave it unplugged

It’s used for your heat/AC controls and also locks the hubs for ESOF if you have that on your truck
