Strongly considering a Redhead steering box for my 2005 E350 Club Wagon and will need a core to send should I go this route. I'd like to supply them with an OEM box to save their $225 core charge. The box on the '05 is OEM as its never been changed since new. If I remove it before having the Redhead in-hand storing the van while things are in transit is an issue.
Anyway would like to yank a part off something in a salvage yard and am fairly certain the boxes fitting my '05 E350 were used on other vehicles too--possibly F-Series, Expeditions etc. Anyone have a reliable cross reference for these boxes? Year(s), make, model?
I've pondered the same thing for the same reason....
I wonder if Redhead could tell you?
They seem very helpful. I queried them in the past about a ram assist box for my old Dodge. I believe it was the owner who got back to me.
