Yes do so. Because he has AC and I cant remember were the vacuum tank gets it's supply from. Check the tank / metal juice can for leaks, mine had rusted pin holes so the motor had a vacuum leak.

Well then that could be why he could be getting a bad / low signal if the vacuum line to the trany was to the tree on the fire wall.
Or are you talking of a different manifold?

Nope we are totally on the same page, my thought is something on the tree on the fire wall is leaking or the tree is it's self might be leaking/cracked.
