Steering column options

Truck was originally a 302 manual that now has a 4.6 2v with an auto. Does anyone know of a decent replacement option without much fab work with a column shifter?

I think B&M and Lokar have paddle shifters for all electronic automatics. Prepare to spend some cash on them and they probably only fit "GM" columns i.e. Flaming river, ididit, etc. Might look to how Ford did the Continental or Crown Victoria, they had 4.6 2v motors and autos with column shift.

I'd look for a Dentside automatic column. Won't those work?

Perhaps a column from a newer truck if the 4.6 is that imposing?

I'd definitely search for a column from a Ford donor which would work, before I would ever use one of the aftermarket GM-style columns.
