i have been looking around for power window and lock switches and if was looking at the help's replacement gm switch and fords switch and they both have 5 prongs would the same location of wires go with the gm switch. on question that i think will solve all my problems, do i need relays to use the door locks? if i need relays how would i wire the aculators to the switch and the relays at the smae time?
They both have five connections but the postions of them are different, for instance if the on position is near the front, the ford would be near the back...the rods position is also different.
The door locks in eacjh door has a electric motor that rides the arm up to the rail inside the door, there is usually four brads making the motor are to get to, even with some doors that have a opening not as big as to let your arm inside, some doors peel away...there is also a relay inside the door to tell the motor to stop at a certain point in the window track. on the door locks, its a simple electric plunger that rides the linkage up and down (its reversable)....
