Ok...so there's this little red light on my dash. Could never figure out what it was for. I just recently read that this is the parking/emergency brake indicator light. That's great, except that the two wires going to mine are just hanging. How are these thing hooked up? I have searched the shop manual cover to cover and there isn't even any mention of the light. Today I got as far as I could up under the dash to see if there was some kinda connector on the brake handle, but didn't see anything. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks guys.
they should plug into two male studs that are sticking out of the top of your proportioning valve... supposed to warn you if you have a failure in either side of your brake system...
I know you're referring to the brake warning light, but it seems like I read something, somewhere, about a parking brake warning light for the big trucks. It was supposed to let you know you left the parking brake on so you didn't burn it out. Anybody else have any info on this?
