I have a 1948 coe in the UK that I have acquired it has been taken apart Most of the things I can work out where they go. I'm a but stuck on the battery fittings etc that fit on the step. Could someone please help me with pictures so I could compare

Here is what I have on my "50. Hopefully, with enough interest, there will be in the works soon, a fiberglass repop for the battery cover and right side running board. This battery cover will be used as the mold. The spring latches are available at hardware stores.
What sort of reinforcement do you see to be necessary to have it sturdy enough to step on?
The other member I'll be working with also works in carbon fiber so the structures may be done that way instead of FRP. I forgot to bring my battery cover home last week so it'll be another week before we get started. Strong possibility there will be steel inlays at high stress points. We are both experienced in FRP from the marine industry.
