No, steering wheels are not universal. The shaft diameters vary from column to column. Most aftermarket steering wheels can be mounted on most any column, however, if you can find the appropriate mounting kit. What steering wheel are you trying to put on your Caddy column?

I've had pretty good luck with Grant steering wheels. They aren't overly expensive and they also make the adapters. The Lecarra is a bit too rich for me. Sometimes you can find a nice used wheel in a swap meet. I haven't decided on what I will use in my old F-3 yet either.
