AIR CONDITIONING

I have a1988 f 150 5.0 that the air conditioning compressor continually cycles. does anyone know what might cause this .tthe system is fully charged with the retrofit r-134 refrigderant.the ssystem blows cold air but continues to cycle the compressor after the air has been turned off.this is very annoying and i assume bad for fuel economy, any help is appreciated thanksjohn.

Who performed the retrofit? You, or a qualified a/c shop?

AIR CONDITIONING

Not sure why it would cycle when turned off but other wise it could be the pressure cycling switch located on the accumulator. Replaced one on a truck this week for that reason.
