460 to Power Stroke Conversion
I have a 1989 F250 4X4 with a 460 engine, C6 transmision, and 3.73 gears. Has anybody replaced the 460 and C6 with a Power Stroke diesel and heavy duty automatic transmision?

I've heard that it is almost impossible.. I've heard some of some people doing it but it is VERY hard. You have to replace EVERYTHING including gas pedal, gas lines, brake system, dash board, too just name a VERY FEW!

My uncle did this to his 91 F250 4x4. Lets just say it was a lot of cash but this machine is awesome now! He had to change the dash to a 97 and all kinds of stuff including steering and brake lines. He put a body lift on well he was doing it because it actually made it easier. I can get more info for ya if you want me too just say please!

I have read about this on the list and most people say it is better to just use the cash you would have spent on the conversion, to buy the rig you want. Like the other guy said, a lot of stuff has to be changed, from the tank, engine, computer, dash etc. Could cost more than just buying what you want.
