Box Rails

On the 2019s (2017s+) are the tops of the box rails 'level'? In other words, if you were to put a straight edge across both box rails would the straight edge contact the full surface of the box rail tops or do the tops slope to the outsides? I don't yet have my truck and am asking for purposes of mounting a CB antenna on the box rail, I need to know if it will be plumb (barring any forward rake)...thank you.

Never put a level on them but from just watching the water drain off after a wash other than the forward rake I would say they are pretty darn close to level.

Thanks, Uzumati, that’s my perception looking at photos, but then again they can be deceiving.

I’ve laid ladders across them and my recollection is that they are flat and level.

Yes they are level. At least on my 17 they are level. I checked the front, middle and back.

If yours aren't flat then try pushing down on them. The caps are attached to the bed with fasteners molded into the caps. My body shop removed my cap and broke a number of the fasteners in the process.
