Today I get my 03 F250 with stock CD/cass radio. I want to install a navigation system and i need the color codes oft the factory harness. I have the codes for speakers and power, but not for the speed signal.

Thanks, Titus

Got my '03 f250 Crewcab PS Wed. I have (mostly) installed a Pioneer Nav system, I need the same info!!! System actually works pretty darn well without the speed sensor, but I would like to hook it up.

What nav system are you putting in?

I get the wiring informations at a internet site, don´t know the name. I installed a Blaupunkt system, because this system works together with the blaupunkt compactdrive ( 1 GB Microdrive ) to play mp3´s. I also installed a remote on the steering wheel.

In the last 15 years I try a lot of systems, the Blaupunkt and the Grundig are the best....Pioneer is good quality, but a lot of small buttons and too much "show". I want a system easy to handle, not a light show :-))

Your Truck is a 6.0 or a 7,3l ?? Shortbed ??

Greetings, Titus

Boy would I love to have the address of that web site, do you think you could find it again?

It is a shortbed, 6.0 (7.3 no longer available even if you want it), moonroof, power sliding rear window, lariat, 4x4. I love the truck, very comfortable. Only complaint is that it takes a lot more room to turn than my '99 F150 I traded in on it. I foolishly parked it in kind of a cramped doctors parking garage and it took about 350 iterations of forward-back to get out of the space. The reverse sensors really help in that situation, forward sensors would have been nice too!

One of the selling points of the Pioneer that I really liked was an all-in-one box solution at a very good price. With the touch screen the buttons are really not an issue, I don't even use the remote at all, there is a voice recognition button on the screen, and it is VERY good recognition, better than 90% recognition for sure, even at idle with all windows open, and at 65mph with all windows closed. I have found it to be very easy to operate and use.

The other thing that I liked about the Pioneer is that when the screen is closed, it has a display for the time or radio station, at least one of the others that I looked at didn't. I envision driving a lot with the screen closed (i.e. don't really need a nav system to get to and from work every day), and really wanted to have the clock still displayed.

After a combination of brainstorming and internet - surfing I found
the site www.installdr.com. I know there is a link on this site to another one with the wiring of the speed sensor. Good Luck

Your Truck is great, I also think about a Lariat, but I only need the Truck to pull a trailer with pigs and the truck was expensive enough... seafreight to germany, 16% tax and 10% import duty.

What a model is your pioneer navigation ??
My father has a comand in his mercedes E320 with touchscreen,tv, gsm, navigation and microwave
but I think he only use the FM radio

Greetings from germany
