I have done the 5/8" sheetrock..... I still have to install the steel door.
I am pulling all the wiring..... terrible job and not what i need. the outlets and lighting were all on a 20 amp ckt that was tapped from the rec room on the outer side of the wall. I have installed a 220V 60 amp sub box from the main ckt box in the house......
So far I have 2 - 30 amp ckts run.... one for the 5th wheel and the other for the air compressor. They will also be good for a small 120v 28 amp stick welder I have. There are now 5 - 20 amp general outlet ckts.... 2 - 15 amp lighting ckts. I still have another 20 amp outlet ckt to run.....

Morning Sailor....hope YOUR week goes well. I go in tomorrow AM at 7 to have left hand carpal tunnel repaired or whatever they do to fix the damn pain and numbness that creeps up my arm. Local antithetic so no fasting or any of the crap that goes along with being put out! I'll be able to WATCH ! 8 weeks after tomorrow, I'll have the right hand done.

When you're done with your garage, Roy....come on over.
I looked at building an attached garage for a customer once. The building inspector wanted fire code rock on both sides of the wall. Code only said garage side at the time. Passed on that one.
Pass through door has to be steel, fire rated, with an automatic closer. Basically the same as most exterior doors...just has the "fire rated" sticker on it.
