2018 Uplifter Switches-HOW DO YOU MAKE THEM ALL HOT?
Hey Guys,
I have a 2018 with the upfitter switches installed on my truck. I found the wires on the driver side to use for my pods to hook up to.But my question is how can I make switches 1-4 HOT ALL THE TIME like 5 and 6??
The fuses are 20amps so running my led pods on them should be fine.
My goal is to run 2 sets of pods. 4 pods total on my hood with a flasher for them as well. Left side flashes, then right side flashes. My wiring harness is already set up for 2 pods and it has a relay and fuse on the wiring harness, im assuming I can ditch the relay wiring harness? What is the best way to wire this up together?
All products are rigid, the flasher and the pods. about 3.36 amps per pod.
I found this but I am not too familiar at reading wiring schematics. https://www.scribd.com/document/3415...-Switch-System
If someone can draw it out for me that would be awesome, if not anything will help! Thank you!

Not to give anyone false hope... but I suppose that there must be a way to cut the 'hot in run or start' switch area in the overhead console and tie it to the 'hot at all times' feed.... I suppose..... but you'll probably want to be real familiar with the circuits & electrics. I've never had that area open so I have no idea what things look like in there and what is accessible. Maybe this is something considered an advanced DIY project.

Ford has designed this capability into the system, takes about 2 minutes to make the change.

No. Unfortunately, that is only to make switches 5 & 6 hot at all times. The other four are still tied into the ignition.

A solution would be to remove the R/S relay from the box and tape over the socket.
