Thinking of going to see the son early summer in Grand Forks ND, driving from NE IA, anyone know of good pull through campsites or road side pull through site along 94 in ND?
Where are you headed either before or after Grand Forks? Are you headed "out west" somewhere during this trip? Once you hit Fargo, ND, to get to Grand Forks, you hang a right turn and go up I 29.
That being said, I would avoid Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis at all costs along your way (depending on which route you take).
Just going there and back, Wife did say she thought I 29 was way we went dozen years ago in the car. Thanks And yes last time I went through Minn I said it would be the last.
Minneapolis isn't bad. Stay on the 694/494 loop and then you will not have to go through the city.
Respectfully, Sir (and half-joking),
ALL LIES.
From someone (me) that now doesn't have to suffer through large city traffic much anymore, Minneapolis is a horrible, soul-crushing experience, that should be avoided at ANY cost. Only good thing I have to say about Minneapolis traffic is, at least it wasn't as bad as Milwaukee.
If you're coming farther west, into the interior areas of ND, I can recommend a few of our favorite state parks to stay in. Most aren't right along a major interstate though.
Thanks, I'll check it out. Used the link and found sites at Red River State Park just a couple of miles from where the son lives, Thanks again everyone.

Bring a good 12 ga shotgun with you. You will need it to fend off the mosquitoes!!!! LOL
Two questions about that:
1. Do you need a hunting license for that?
2. What's the best way to cook mosquito? Do I need to smoke it or can I just slap it on the grill?

No license needed.
Was always too busy shooting to have time to try grilling them!!
When they are out in force, you don’t want to be out grilling anyway!!!!!!!!!!
