I know, I cringe when I see a solid truck getting wrecked for some dumb TV show or movie. Why couldn't they use a Dodge or a IH? Ha!

When they made some of these older movies they were a dime a dozen.

Remember the Tool Time episode where Tim had a red 55 Chevy Nomad and it got crushed at a scrap yard? My buddy, a Chevy man, said his
Chevy buddies cried when they saw it. But, this was back in the VCR days, one of his buddies taped it and replayed it in slow motion and they could tell it wasn't a Nomad but a beat up 2 door Handyman wagon with a fresh coat of red paint.

I have to tell you Abe that I really enjoy these screenshots, but I have to wonder if some of those nicer trucks aren't rented from private parties. I can't imagine a movie studio keeping a stable of cherry trucks and buses at the ready.

I looked for "ending of Castaway" on YouTube. Cheating, I know, but efficient.

I've never actually watched the movie either.

Yes. The software I use won't work on Amazon or Netflix.

Actually, the "snipping" tool that comes with windows will do pretty much the same thing.

I am sure many are rented. I think someone on FTE many years ago said his truck or someone he knew had rented his truck to a studio.

Most of them are rentals. I know a couple of guys that have rented military vehicles to small movie companies.

Here is one of the big rental companies. You see them credited in some of the big movies: https://cinemavehicles.com/
